NEW YORK GIFT SHOW

In August, I traveled to the NYIGF which, as always, had many fabulous vendors and products.  Similar to New York City itself; there is so much to see at the show and I was inspired by the new natural trends for this upcoming season.  Many of the lines had an organic tone combined with classic design.  Below is an example of the natural feel that was common throughout the show.

I am also excited for the new additions from some of my favorite vendors. Below is a picture of the Juliska table, which mixed some of the new pewter stoneware with their classic dish and glass lines.

Outside of the NYGIF, I did find some time to enjoy some of New York’s delicious food.  We ate at Hundred Acres in SoHo and Del Posto, a Mario Batali restaurant in the Meatpacking district.

After the show, I spent a couple days visiting relatives in Connecticut.  I enjoyed the beautiful New
England countryside and exploring the local shops.  I made sure to visit one of my most favorite home shops, Privet House (which is crazy for a home store owner to go to another home store, but always interesting to see what other stores are doing).

The trip was exhausting, relaxing and overall very successful. This year’s NYIGF was one of the best shows I have attended to date and I am excited to show off my great new finds in the store!
